General
Diatomaceous earth, or sea grass, is a natural mineral that is made from the fossilized remains of tiny aquatic organisms.
Diatomaceous earth has natural antimicrobial properties, acting physically without the use of chemicals or toxins. In its raw state, it attracts and retains bacteria and parasites, drying them out and eliminating them.
We do not add any colorants or additional substances to our diatomaceous earth, thus preserving its natural color. However, due to its light hue, it can stain in the presence of dirt or darker liquids.
In case of spills, blot the excess liquid before it is absorbed.
For light stains, dampen the product and gently use sandpaper.
For tougher stains, you can apply small amounts of diluted bleach or hydrogen peroxide.
If your stone is broken and unusable in its current state, you can put pieces in a cotton bag and place it in a shoe closet, wardrobe, toilet, or drawer to absorb moisture or deodorize.
- Handle diatomite carefully. It could break if it falls or is subjected to a shock.
- Let the product dry naturally and avoid direct exposure to the sun or near a heat source.
- Do not use soap or detergent to wash it as they can alter its absorption power and stain it.
- Do not expose diatomite to colored or greasy substances as they can stain it.
If you notice that the absorption capacity has decreased, lightly sand the surface with the sandpaper provided with it and wipe off the powder with a damp cloth.
Please turn your product upside-down for some time so that it regains its original flat shape.
Delivery
Processing time
Your order is processed from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The order preparation time is 1 to 2 working days (Monday to Friday) and the delivery time varies between 24 and 72 additional hours depending on the chosen service. You will receive a shipping notification as well as a tracking number allowing you to check the status of your shipment.
Packages are delivered against signature. If you are not present during the delivery, you can reschedule a new delivery or pick up the package at the post office of your choice (usually the closest to your delivery address).
Delivery times and rates
The delivery times below do not include the processing time of your order indicated above. Any order placed on Friday after 2 p.m. will be processed the following Monday.
Delivery costs vary depending on the number of units you order. The delivery costs are visible when you go to the finalization step of your order.
The delivery is made within 24 to 72 hours. Delivery times may be affected during school holidays and peak periods.
